Tip of the month

If you want to get your press release noticed by editors, it has to be newsworthy. I know, it may sound basic, but not everybody has this in mind when writing a press release. Press releases should not be written as an advertising or promotion. If so, be sure they will end in the editor`s trash can. Next time when writing a press release, start asking yourself “What is the news?, Is this important to people (not only to me)?, Why?” Keep it simple and right to the point. Avoid exaggerations and adjectives for embellishment. Write to grab the reader`s attention on the first paragraph. One page should be enough with double space between the lines. Facts about your company should be included at the end of the story.
